The Healer class is your standard healing class that supports allies, from the Thorium mod. This class may seem useless in Solo gameplay, but this class does have some good weapons and mechanics. This class uses Healing spells and support spells for support and scythes as the main weapon, as well as maces and other weird weapons. This class is mainly used for healing and support, It may be able to deal damage and be played solo, but it is recommended to be used in multiplayer. This class has multiple different mechanics that involve health, or healing, Like some healing spells can heal you when you heal allies, and some drain your health for more damage. This class is pretty simple but hard to play alone, It is possible to play as a healer alone, but then you wouldn't be able to do what this class mainly does: heal and support. This class may be tough at first, but once you get into hard mode, it gets much easier with more weapons.
This mechanic is just more healing, Some weapons don't deal any damage, but instead summon, cast, or do something to heal, and can provide healing to even the owner.
This mechanic is a little more complicated, but some weapons and spells focus on healing, not regeneration, but healing in general, Some weapons and spells, can heal an ally and even the owner in some way.
This mechanic is for the Scythes, it's able to recover health and mana while using a scythe. When you attack someone with a scythe, you will gain a soul essence, and when obtain 5, you will recover health and mana based on your healing.
This mechanic is more complicated, but it's radiant weapons get corrupted, changing from yellow to purple, and their attacks inflict different debuffs.
This mechanic is creating an aura around the cursor, which can apply beneficial effects to anyone inside the aura.
This mechanic is just a more powerful version of regeneration, which can be buffed by accessories and items.
The armor in this class has a robe theme and doesn't have the best defense, but it mainly focuses on giving buffs to all the different Healing Mechanics above. Some armor does have special abilities, but most don't. Here are some examples.
|
This is Dream Weaver Armor, the best healer armor in the game. This armor despite being the best healer armor, doesn't give buffs to all the mechanics, but mainly radiant weapons. There are 2 different headwear, one for more damage and defense, if you are playing solo, and one for more healing power and mana, for multiplayer. Both headwears give an ability, one which makes enemies take more damage, and one which heals allies more. |

This is Whispering armor, a pretty good healer armor that is hard to obtain. This armor gives a lot of additional buffs and spawns tentacles around you that heal you if they hit an enemy, but the enemy has to walk into the tentacles since they don't move. The only downside is that it's hard to get, you need to beat a boss to get this called the Forgotten one, who is not easy to kill. But this armor is worth it if you can beat the boss and farm him for this armor. |
The weapons in this class aren't weapons since most of them heal and support, the only real weapons are Scythes and other weapons that don't have a place. Support and healing spells do use mana, so keep an eye on that too. Some weapons are different and deal damage, but other than that, there are too many weapons in this class, since most are support and healing spells. There are a few healing and support spells that can do damage, but there's not a lot, but they are pretty good.

Healing SpellsHere is the Divine staff, a pretty good healing spell. Although it's a staff, it's considered a spell, and as expected, this spell heals allies, You can't use spells to heal yourself, but if you heal an ally, you can heal yourself. This weapon fires a beam of healing light that heals and can ricochet off of tiles 5 times and heal one ally per ricochet, and regains its ability to heal every time it ricochets. Other than that, healing spells are useless when playing solo. |
|
Support SpellsThis is the Liberation, a pretty decent support spell. As considered, it supports allies, it does not heal, but it does remove all the debuffs allies has, and after removing debuffs, it increases movement speed and brief invulnerability. However, this spell technically does not cure every debuff, there may be one or two that it doesn't cure, but it does cure almost every debuff. Also since this is a support spell, you can't use it on yourself. |
|
ScythesThis is the Terra Scythe, the Terra Blade version of the Scythes. This is one of the few weapons that deal actual damage in this class. Scythes are kind of like a true melee weapon since you spin it around yourself and you need to be close to enemies to hit them. Scythes are powerful since they can heal you for every enemy you hit, but you need to be close. Some scythes do shoot projectiles but only close to endgame. |

That's what you need to know about the Healer class, it's a pretty small class, but good. If you're playing in multiplayer then you just have to support and heal aliies, and you get to use healing and support spells more often, but if you are playing solo, then you will miss out on some of these spells, and just focus on scythes and other weapons that can deal damage. This class can be complicated when it comes to mechanics, and there can be some risks to it, but it's still pretty fun, even more in multiplayer. The class does involve some close combat, but also some ranged combat, but there's nothing to worry about since this class can heal you, even though most spells don't affect you.
